Why jewellery needs this

Jewellery Is Uniquely Vulnerable to Loss of Provenance.

Jewellery changes hands through gifts, inheritance, and resale — often without any documentation. Gemstone certificates get separated from the piece. Appraisals expire or are lost. Hallmarking records exist only in paper form. An Ownich Digital Ownership Certificate creates a permanent, tamper-evident record that links every document to the piece itself — and survives every transfer.

What it covers

What a Jewellery Certificate Records

Gemstone certificates

GIA, IGI, and other gemstone grading certificates are uploaded and permanently linked to the piece. They cannot be separated, substituted, or lost.

Appraisal records

Every appraisal — date, appraiser, valuation — is appended to the Ownership Passport. The complete appraisal history is available to insurers and buyers.

Hallmarking documentation

Hallmark details, assay office records, and metal purity documentation are recorded and cryptographically linked to the certificate.

Estate and inheritance

Jewellery passed through estates often has no documentation. An Ownich certificate creates a clear, verifiable record of what was owned, by whom, and when — preventing disputes.

Insurance protection

Insurers can verify the piece's identity, gemstone grades, and current valuation independently. Claims are faster and less likely to be disputed.

Anti-substitution

A cryptographically sealed record of the gemstone's grading report makes substitution immediately detectable. The certificate describes the specific stone, not just the setting.
