Ade Popoola

Founder & CEO, Ownich

Ade Popoola founded Ownich to solve a problem he experienced first-hand: the absence of a reliable, transferable proof of ownership for physical items in the secondary market. With a background spanning technology, operations, and consumer product, he built Ownich from Manchester to address the trust gap between buyers and sellers of high-value goods — creating infrastructure that makes ownership verifiable, portable, and permanent.

Company boilerplate

Short boilerplate

Ownich is digital ownership infrastructure for physical assets. It creates verifiable Digital Ownership Certificates and persistent Ownership Passports that record an item's identity, ownership, provenance, evidence and transfer history. Founded in Manchester, UK, Ownich serves consumers, brands, retailers, and marketplaces across luxury goods, watches, jewellery, electronics, art, and collectibles.

Long boilerplate

Ownich (ownich.io) is a Manchester-based technology company building the infrastructure layer for physical asset ownership in the digital age. The platform issues cryptographically signed Digital Ownership Certificates that link a physical item to its owner at a specific point in time, and accumulates those certificates into a living Ownership Passport — a permanent, transferable record of provenance, ownership history, and verified events. Ownich serves individual consumers through a free-tier app and founding membership programme, and enterprise clients through a B2B API and white-label integration layer. The company is registered in England and Wales (company number 17324418) and holds UK Intellectual Property Office registered trademarks for the Ownich brand across Classes 9, 35, 36, and 42.

Positioning statement

The first structured, state-machine-governed fractional transfer system for physical item certificates — built for everyday consumers.
